Visiting hours and overnight stays<\/h5>\n

Family members, friends, and pets are welcome to visit their loved ones. All visitors must enter and exit by our front door and must, for safety reasons, sign in and out of our logbook.<\/p>

<\/p>\n

Visiting hours are 24\/7, with a maximum of two people for overnight stays. Please advise the nurse if a family member or a friend wishes to stay overnight in the patient\u2019s room. Up to two people may stay overnight comfortably in the patient\u2019s room. A pull-out cot and recliner are available. For fire safety reasons, visitors are not permitted to sleep in any of the common areas of the Residence. There is a shower on the main level for visitors. Towels are provided as needed.  We ask that people staying the night arrive before 8 p.m. if possible, and those coming in for a morning visit arrive after 8 a.m. (when someone is at reception to welcome them). <\/p>

Visitors are expected to respect the privacy, dignity, and need for rest of all residents. To maintain a quiet and calming atmosphere, large gatherings (10 or more people) in common areas must be approved in advance by a member of the nursing or supportive care team to ensure appropriate arrangements can be made. When a patient\u2019s condition changes or increased family presence is needed, the care team will work with families to support bedside presence while ensuring their peace and comfort.<\/p>

We understand that visitors may need to stay in touch with loved ones. To help maintain a peaceful environment for patients and families, we ask that cell phone conversations be kept private and quiet, and that phone calls in hallways be avoided whenever possible.<\/p>

Parking permits are available for those who wish to park directly on Andr\u00e9-Brunet Street. Please inquire at reception, as spaces are limited.<\/p>

PET VISITS <\/h5>\n

We welcome your pet to the Residence. We understand and promote the importance of pets who play such a caring and comforting role in so many families. To help maintain a safe and peaceful environment for our patients, families, employees and volunteers, and given that some people are fearful of, or allergic to, pets, we would ask that you please respect the following guidelines: <\/p>\n
