\u00a0<\/p>

There is not enough attention paid to the fact that healthcare workers in palliative care are constantly immersed in a context of loss and grief. The key to coping with this is the understanding that this can often coexist with moments of hope, beauty, and connection. A reflection on how to reframe and understand loss can support a reconceptualization of loss into a profound sense of gain.<\/p>

This presentation will explore loss and grief in the context of caring at the end of life. A narrative approach and sharing of stories using case examples will be used to highlight the importance of recognizing the need to grieve. In addition, strategies for reflection will be discussed.<\/p>
