The Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence provides terminally ill patients with a place to spend their final days in comfort and dignity in a warm, home-like environment, close to their family, and in their community.
The free-standing Residence, the first of its kind in Montreal, provides compassionate care – free of charge – allowing patients to live their final weeks in comfort and dignity.
A focus on life
Specialized doctors, nurses, patient care attendants, supportive care workers and volunteers work to ensure the comfort and well-being of our terminally ill patients and enhance the quality of life of each patient in their final days. Our donors' generosity means that all our services are offered free of charge.

Help for families
The Residence’s supportive care team is on hand to offer patients and their families the emotional and social support they need. We offer bereavement support groups that are open to the community and supportive phone calls to all family members and friends of patients.

Our 23-bed Residence is Canada’s largest independent community-based palliative care residence. Thanks to hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of donors, our patients can die surrounded by their loved ones with dignity, serenity, and peace in a home-like environment.
