Course pour la Compassion 2023 | Powered by Pfizer

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible support of the 7th Annual Course pour la Compassion, powered by Pfizer, which took place on Saturday, September 23rd. A special shoutout goes to our wonderful host, Maya Johnson, of CTV News, and our sincere thanks to Ambassador Alexandre Despatie for his enthusiastic participation in the 5 km walk.

Close to 700 participants supported us by crowdfunding, either individually or as part of a team. The Cambridge Residence organized a complementary Walkathon, with 100 participants raising $9,500. These combined efforts were key in contributing to the success of this event, and helped us raise an incredible $291,725 net (and still counting!) for the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.

The Course pour la Compassion brings together families, companies, volunteers, and Residence employees in a friendly competition to raise funds and broaden awareness about the importance of palliative care. Seeing the community come together to accomplish such a wonderful thing was truly touching.

Special thanks to our title Sponsor Pfizer; our Ambassadors Alexandre Despatie, Multi-medalist Olympic Diver, Maya Johnson, Anchor, CTV News Montreal, David Arsenault, Founder of Champions for Life; and David Bedard, four-time Olympic Diver; and our gold-hearted Volunteers, over 70 of whom gave their time to make this event possible.

Thank you to the City of Pointe-Claire for their support, especially Mayor Tim Thomas.

We appreciate the support of all the Dignitaries who were present: Francis Scarpaleggia, Member of Parliament, Brigitte Garceau, MNA, Robert-Baldwin, Monsef Derraji – MNA of Nelligan, Gregory Kelley, MNA for Jacques-Cartier, Mayor Michel Gibson, Kirkland, Mayor Julie Brisebois, Senneville, Mayor Paola Hawa, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Mayor Jim Beis, Roxboro-Pierrefonds.
